How fast can OutPOUND get my car released?

Usually within 24-48 hours if the owner of the vehicle is able to provide proper documentation of ownership and provide permission to OutPound to recover the vehicle on their behalf.

What happens to my car after I agree to sell the vehicle to OutPOUND?

OutPOUND quickly executes upon your authorization to pay release charges and moves the vehicle to one of 400+ partner facilities where storage is free and comprehensive vehicle inspections and various mechanical services can be performed.

Do I have to sell my car to OutPOUND to get the vehicle released?

No. The owner has the option of paying all charges associated with the bail out including transportation and an administrative fee to OutPOUND if they wish to keep the vehicle.

Can I get my vehicle back if I do not have the funds to pay OutPOUND?

OutPOUND has a consumer finance product in development for vehicle owners that wish to keep their vehicle after bailout from impound that do not have the funds to cover the charges. It is important to recognize that OutPOUND is advancing the funds for bail out and moving the vehicle on the owners’ behalf to a storage free environment to protect their asset from seizure and loss. OutPOUND intends to recover these fees through the sale of the vehicle, returning the balance of equity to the consumer in the process. The vehicle owner may redeem the vehicle and take possession only if the fees & charges are paid.

Is OutPOUND a for profit company?

Yes, OutPOUND is registered as a Georgia Limited Liability Company. We purchase and sell vehicles nationwide.

What if OutPOUND does not buy my vehicle after securing?

OutPOUND Staff will always do their best to ensure that your vehicle is buyable after bail out. This is dependent upon the sellers' honesty regarding the damage and condition prior to signing a digital purchase agreement. There will always be the possibility that severe mechanical impairment or collision damage that is not disclosed could make the vehicle unbuyable. OutPOUND reserves the right to cancel the purchase for any reason and the vehicle would be released after charges are settled by the vehicle owner. Pictures will generally always be required which will alleviate most of the mystery except for mechanical damage and operability issues.

What if I did my best to describle the condition and OutPOUND finds more damage or problems wit hmy vehicle?

OutPOUND performs a thorough mechanical evaluation of each vehicle before funding a purchase. Any bail out fees are deducted from the sellers equity portion and the final price will be dependent upon the final inspection. The vehicle owner is not obligated to go through with the purchase, but must settle all charges paid on their behalf (within 7 days) if they want the vehicle released.

How do I get the vehicle released to OutPOUND?

Most vehicle releases will require that the vehicle owner goes to the impound facility with positive proof of ownership and identification to release the vehicle to the custody of OutPOUND. All impound fees will be paid by OutPOUND once the release of the vehicle has been authorized. OutPOUND will provide detailed instructions to each vehicle owner for that respective jurisdiction.

What about my personal items in the vehicle?

Personal items must be removed prior to release of vehicle from impound. OutPOUND does not retail personal items once the vehicle is moved to our facility. The vehicle owner must remove all personal items and paperwork with personal data from the vehicle prior to release to OutPOUND. We are not responsible for personal items.
